I wasn't raised with a pic of Kennedy on the wall but I was told the exact same thing about the police. I know a girl that was beat by her ex-bf so bad that her whole face was bruised up and bloody. She went to the police with her face messed up and they told her that they couldn't do anything or issue a restraining order because she wasn't married to him. It was freaking ridiculous and now I see all these videos of police brutality, it's sickening.
