You guys don't realize that if your economy is only as good as its consumers, then the consumer always wins. If we were on a system backed by gold which I might add is what backs every currency in the WORLD!!!! You guys call him a moron yet look at our economy now? You talk about our economic boom? Look at our downfall, watch us going down, people are losing jobs everywhere yet you call him a moron, well obviously your system isn't working its just a temporary fix to major problem. Argue that.

Not only are you a bigot, but you don't understand the affect of discressionary money inflation. Economic expansion based on an inflated money supply is only a temporary boom, which as history shows time after time, is followed w/ a bust. Fixed money supply doesn't limit investing, but limits inflation. And for cornering the gold market, read about Jim Fisk & Jay Gould in the 1860s: it didn't work then and won't work now. You fuckin moron.

This so called flexibility has gotten us in a deeper hole. Gold standard means governments have to live with in their means too. Fiat is just JUNK

Paul also fails to explain how we could have experienced the growth which we experienced since 1971 without the flexibility to increase the money supply a paper money system offers. Had we been on his gold system, our economy would have stagnated and then dived into a deep and unfathomable depression due to the lack of money for credit and growth. In addition the Jews would have had the means to bury us at any time by merely holding gold and cutting off our money supply and credit.

End the FED, are you mad? Are you saying that you want political administrations, such as, the Bush administration to have full regulating over our economy? Think hard about it!
JoeTube27 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Also end the Fed so the MOney that is put in the economy is debt free money. Also no income tax, so the people have more power to purchase and save, then if they want to lend, they can and at the same time possibly make a ROI. Hope people like the idea. Legal junk would also be attached if payment could not be repaid, but the person lending would be insured up to X amount of dollars.
