It's really lovely to be able to revisit Derek's Face To Face interview here. Jeremy Isaac's sensitive tribute is very moving. I knew Derek in the last years of his life and remember how nervous he was prior to giving this interview. In the run up to it he'd been in and out of hospital and wasn't sure he'd be up to it. In the end he flourished and the final outcome bears testament to his inner strength. Sadly soon after he did start to decline but he remained lucid to the end. Paul copson xx
