DRying up gradually while still an organ attached to your body...so that you feel on fire in the eyes or like acid or...Sure you can hold it off by being eye-drop dependant for a while

But, what if, a patient takes the LAW into their own hands, now ruined and suicidal feeling there is nothing to live for? Doesn't this create an "x" factor for the Lying LASIK Doctors to think about? Does safety now come before money for once? Only time will tell. Basically, the Lying LASIK Doctors have lied in order to save a lawsuit, while pushing the patient past the Statute of Limitations to sue them which is about 2 years usually, all while ruining his patient's eyesight and life.

LASIK can completely destroy your eyes and you still can't sue. Why? Because the LASIK centers have you sign a "informed consent" form just minutes prior to your LASIK that states about 5 pages worth of complications. If you get any of these complications, then you have no case. Also, people cannot "see" your damage. Lawyers like cases where people lose limbs or look disfigured. As one lawyer told me, he needs a person with a 7th grade education to feel like even he would know better than the MD

If 10,000,000 Americans have had LASIk and the FDA says there is a 5% dissatisfaction rate, that equates to 500,000 Americans being hurt. A much higher number than the 142 currently being reported. See what I mean about the Lies? I think the true number of eyes hurt is more like 25% of all eyes over a 10 year period. Remember, the FLAP never heals. I feel every LASIK facility in this country is in violation of this mandatory requirement, which should prompt a Class Action Lawsuit. If the CDRH has not even bothered to check the LASIK Centers in their own neighborhood, why did they all of a sudden set up "Sight Net" as a new initiative for their own incompetence? I do hope the media here today will investigate this.

Number Four: What is a "Breach of the Standard of Care" for LASIK Doctors? The FDA has stated over and over that it is NOT their job to discipline doctors. Then who's job is it because nobody seems to be doing it? I am out of a life that I once enjoyed because MONEY came first and my Well Being came last! I ask this Panel to hold the FDA responsible for reviewing the Ambulatory Code: 21 CFR 803.17 requiring all LASIK facilities since 1997 to report ALL adverse patient outcomes.

Number Three: What constitutes a Success? I see double vision, halos, starbursts, fluctuating vision, and dry eye syndrome...Yet, In order to believe the LASIK Industry's reported satisfaction rate of 95%, you must accept these complications to be "acceptable normal outcomes." That's the question... Do you believe a patient who has these problems to be a "Success" because the LASIK industry does! Shouldn't "Patient Success" be decided by each individual patient however THEY define "Success?" |
