you could use vaseline as a release, but if you remove your hand too early, you'll lose a lot of detail/and or have it warp, pull too late, you've got a 100$ medical bill, your better off just getting some alginate, easy 1:2 mix ratio, wont burn you, just get some plaster bandages to back it with
