Hanoi remembers how our leaders refused to tell us the truth about the earlier North Vietnamese overtures for peace, how the president claimed that none existed when they had clearly been made. Ho Chi Minh has watched as America has spoken of peace and built up its forces, and now he has surely heard the increasing international rumors of American plans for an invasion of the North. He knows the bombing and shelling and mining we are doing are part of traditional pre-invasion strategy. -MLK '67

Practically what is required now is to stop any action before the November election (in 9 mths) 1)A counter propaganda required to inform that all this war mongering is simply to wind up the US electorate to vote in a Republican President in November ie the Democrats in the US should wake up!! 2)The US presidential candidates should make it clear that Bush/Cheney have no right to make ANY decision - the American people will make a decision in NOVEMBER!

Yes your absolutely right! they are not even eager to die....But when the Iran start shooting back at them...they will see that they can aim also...One thing is to shoot at someone and another thing is when someone can shoot back!

agreed. So tell them to start drilling in Alaska (oil is found there, and those that are informed don't know why it's not being pumped yet) The war isn't just about oil, and compared to what is being spent on the war, the price of oil will not go down. That isn't even touching on the subject of the Federal Reserve printing money, making it worth less and less every day. Prices may not rise, but if your dollar buys less, is it not the same result?

ha ha ha, where is Iran? The Irak war was an attempt to take Iran down, but someone misread the map.

He is absolutely correct. Amrecans/american soldiers are too eager to die.

Most Americans I've met don't know anything beyond their borders, but then again most who have been in the UN coalition of '90 of course are poor boys fighting a rich mans war. This is why I respect officers but its only a handful in the US military.
