i thought this version is better than the original music changed alot sonce then and not alot of ppl rly listen to the old songs like hte original version.nd cuz of tht, they probably made this version so that ppl who listen to these singers can hear the song and realize tht they need to help stop world hunger. i know tht alot of ppl dislike this version, but its opening alot of eyes in our modern world. the rapper in the middle is not that bad but it doesn fit with song... just my opinion

"Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you" I always found this part to be a bit disturbing. Although I agree with it, it's my least favorite part of the song. I like the original song by the way.

I also think the original one is better than that. As alphacause said, there's nothing like unity like you can see it in the old version. I understand that they -whoever it was- decided to make an new version to advert also the younger generation to the problems of africa. Thats why there's also this rapper involved in it i think.

Who the hell is the rapper? That sounds completely stupid!

Original version is for old lads, who where young 30 years ago. For mi it's ok, except Sugababes. Song mixes a lot of new british stars and the old (Bono, Sir Paul). If these song would be made by assholes from america, we would hear britney, justin, eminem, xtina and other sheet. That would sucks. But this version is great and has huge amount of warm.

this song was made 20 years after the original and oviously music and musics culture has changed alots since then so oviously the osng is gona be different and sound alot different whether or not its worse then the original one its representing the artist involved in music today, rap and hip hop is a big part of music today so it was included, stop baggin it out, bob geldof and bono were involved and the yclearl recon its a great song, so dont be so critical just my opinion:)

I seriously hoped that who ever produced this version got slapped in the face. WTF! They couldn't raise enough money to feed the local bums let along Africa.
