He did get into Joseph School but then once he was there, John Barrowman took him to one side and asked Gethin if he really thought he could commit to Joseph while doing Blue Peter. Gethin 'thought' about it and ended up leaving Joseph School. I'm pretty sure the whole thing was staged but I can't say for certain!
