Short history lesson "It's the same old theme since 1916" Refers to Easter Revolution of 1916 which started the violence in N. Ireland between England & the Irish Catholics. Easter rising of 1916 did Not start the violence in N Ireland, but a 6 year military campaign by the Irish that Forced Britain to realize that they did Not belong. In the treaty that followed, Brits refused to give up 6 of the Northern counties. N Ireland has been a war zone last 40 yrs End The OCCUPATION

From 1641 to 1652, over 500,000 Irish were killed by the English and another 300,000 were sold as slaves. Irelands population fell from about 1,500,000to 600,000 in one single decade. British did not allow Irish dads to take their wives & children with them across the Atlantic. This led to a population of homeless women and children. Britains solution was to auction them During 1650s, 100,000+ Irish children between the ages of 10-14 were sold as slaves in the West Indies & New England
