Salesman those are called Hoodpins they are used as a latching mechanism when the factory installed parts wont do thier intended job

they're lightweight hinges, they replace the whole usual heavy mechanism to lift up the hood. the hydraulic pumps are removed and saves weight.

every racecar has them or most of them hast them. to get a license vor your car in a special group u ll need them to take part in.

Something I've always wondered about cars. At 21 secs, what do those circular things on the hood do? Is it like security for cars that don't have a switch that open the hood?
